Winter weather can be drab but that doesn't mean your interior design style has to be! Here is our current winter decor inspiration that will keep your bathroom warm & cozy all season long.
For winter, changing up the traditional above the vanity lighting creates more ambiance. One of our favorite ways is the backlit bathroom mirror but they can run on the expensive side. Luckily, Bath Crashers from DIY Network put together an easy DIY tutorial on their own version of a backlit mirror! If you don't have the power tools to complete that project, stock up on candles like this bathroom at the Manor House at Castle Combe via Room for Romance. The candlelight makes the bathroom look warm and inviting during the harsh winter months (and that bottle of champagne helps, too!).
Last year we saw a lot of people swapping their bath mats for Persian rugs. This winter, the trend is back! Beautiful or exotic rugs make bathrooms look ultra luxurious yet cozy for winter, as you can see in these bathroom remodel reveal photographs from the blog My Hands Made It. Another big trend we're seeing this winter is upgrading old shower rods. Old, straight shower rods work fine but they have some serious drawbacks: small shower space with no room to towel off in the warmth of the shower. Curved shower curtain rods expand shower space, providing the elbow room to wash and dry off in the shower instead of in the cold bathroom. Just look at all that extra room that woman in the Moen shower below has to dry off in!
If you love the idea of more shower space but realized any space you gain in the shower is lost in the bathroom, check out the Rotator Rod! It's the original curved shower rod that rotates for a 33% larger shower PLUS a roomier bathroom. Are you searching for a holiday presents for loved ones who live in a cozy home or small apartment? Give the gift of bathroom space this Christmas and Chanukkah with Rotator Rod, the original curved shower rod that rotates for bigger shower AND a roomier bathroom. Hurry, our Black Friday Refer A Friend discount program ends December 8th!
And finally, beautiful shower curtains can subtly welcome the winter season. Black and white looks dramatic and elegant, as you can see from this bathroom from Wayfair featuring the m.style Cassandra shower curtain. Gray and white is currently very trendy in bathroom decor and stripes are always in style. Putting the two together is a no brainer in interior design, like this elegant bathroom below by Vanessa Francis of Interior Designers & Decorators via Houzz. And golden hues always make the winter season more festive! Our favorite look on Houzz is this amazing bathroom at the top of the post by Kathleen Bost Architecture + Design.
