A Pet-Friendly Bath for the Rotator Rod Office Puppies!

Here in the Rotator Rod office we have two very special helpers. Their names are Sage and Chukar, and they are two adorable labradoodle puppies! Although they are 6 and 16 months old, they are inseparable. I interviewed Colleen, inventor of the Rotator Rod, about them and here is what she had to say.

Sage and Chukar are very curious puppies, especially when it comes to bath time. “They get baths indoors when the weather is too cool outside,” said Colleen. “When one puppy is in the bath tub, the other stands by or leans on the side of the tub in support...nudging and pushing.” But when it’s time to switch, “they're lifted in and their tail goes between their legs but they endure” with help from the other, now cleaner puppy! The added space that comes from the Rotator Rod curved shower curtain rod makes the bathing process much more pet-friendly, too.

Sage and Chukar’s favorite toy is a plush toy in the shape of a pill capsule that sounds like a child giggling uncontrollably when you squeeze it. Whenever they hear that sound, they both come running. “And if they get hold of it,” Colleen said, “it’s constant laughter! They LOVE it, but especially Sage.”

Another of Chukar's favorite toys is his tennis ball. “As a matter of fact, he will go fetch his own ball, then get Sage's toy (she's not so into fetching) and bring it to her, so she can return it to whomever throws it,” said Colleen. “It's a riot to watch him look out for her.”

They are both also very intelligent and love to learn new tricks. Their best trick is “Be Sweet,” where they sit on their hind legs and put their front paws in the air.
