This week, Rotator Rod is excited to introduce their two new Social Media Marketing Specialists, Angela and Rob Winston.
Angela is an artist based in Sarasota, Florida. Her artwork reinterprets the fruit imagery found in traditional still life paintings, and has been featured in galleries in the USA, Italy, and Portugal. In addition, Angela recently completed a 5 month stay at MIRA: International Residency for Artists program in Italy. You can see Angela’s full portfolio on her website.
When she’s not painting, Angela loves going to the Sarasota Farmer’s Market, playing with her dog, Sadie, and taking long bubble baths with a good book and glass of wine.

Our other Social Media Specialist is Rob Winston,
a Master of Arts in International Business candidate at the University of Florida. For the last six months of 2012, he studied at the prestigious Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Now back in the United States (and fluent in Italian), Rob spends the majority of his free time completing his master’s thesis, a case study on Italian fashion house Prada.
While in the office last week, I asked Rob a few questions perfect for the blog.
What comes to mind when you think of the word space?
Rob: I’ll be honest, I’m a bit claustrophobic. I hate taking elevators and I often have to psych myself out before flying. To me, space means the ability to feel comfortable and relaxed.
What is the most unique fact about yourself?
Rob: According to some, I am the only North American to ever hold the World Cup Soccer trophy. Let me explain.
During my sophomore year of college, I studied abroad in Madrid, Spain. The year was 2010, the same year that Spain won the World Cup. Coincidently, I was interning at the Spanish Ministry of Sports at the time. On the last day of my internship, the Sports Ministry held a ceremony to celebrate the great victory where the employees and their families were able to take photos with the precious trophy. Needless to say, my photo with the World Cup was my profile picture on Facebook for almost two years. My friends were quite jealous!
What does the word luxury mean to you?
Rob: Luxury is word that can have many definitions. In Milan, where fashion is king, luxury means products that are timeless, impeccably crafted, and unfortunately quite pricey. However, I tend to think that individuals can feel luxurious without breaking the bank. For example, I get my doses of luxury by watching classic movies and drinking my favorite Italian Prosecco with family and friends. That to me is luxury.
Angela and Rob, welcome to the Rotator Rod family!
